About the King-Morgridge Scholars Program (KMSP)

Scholarship Details

Scholarship Benefits

  • Apply within three years of high school graduation.

  • Must not have previously completed a post-secondary degree.

  • Late August 2025: KMSP application opens in the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH).

  • November 15, 2025: Application deadline for the King-Morgridge Scholars Program.

  • February 1, 2026: General UW–Madison scholarship deadlines.

  • March 2026: Scholarship decision notifications.

Application Process

  1. Apply to UW–Madison as a first-year student through the Early Action pathway.

  2. Submit all required admissions documents by the Early Action deadline.

  3. Create a NetID to access the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH).

  4. Complete the KMSP application in WiSH, including:

    • Short-answer questions

    • A 500–700 word essay

  5. Submit by November 15, 2025.

Scholarship recipients will be announced in March 2026.
