Overview
The Unite Foundation Scholarship 2025 offers care-experienced and estranged students a chance to study at a UK university with free accommodation for up to three years. This scholarship provides a safe and stable living environment, allowing students to focus fully on their education and future goals.
Partner Universities
To qualify, you must study at a Unite Foundation partner university. Some major partners include:
- University College London (UCL)
- University of Edinburgh
- King’s College London
- University of Bristol
- Manchester Metropolitan University
- Sheffield Hallam University
- De Montfort University
Only students attending the main campuses are eligible, not satellite locations.
Degree Level and Subjects
This scholarship supports undergraduate students across all subjects at partner universities.

Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive:
- Up to three years of free accommodation in a modern en-suite room
- 365 days of secure housing every year, including holidays
- No rent, no bills, no deposit, and no guarantor required

Who Can Apply?
You must:
- Be 25 years old or younger by 1 September 2025
- Hold UK home fee status (UK citizens, settled status, refugees)
- Be starting or continuing your first undergraduate degree at a partner university
- Be officially recognized as a care leaver, care-experienced, or estranged student
- Be applying for or receiving student finance support
International students classified as overseas fee-payers are not eligible.

There are only 70 scholarships available, so early and complete applications are highly encouraged.
